Sara Salam has been a practicing western Shaman since 2007 and is the founder and director of Luminous Warrior. As a shaman, healer, and business woman, Sara can help you get into alignment about where the heart meets the practical, how the spiritual manifests in the physical, what is possible, and how to get clear. She can set you on a straight path and remove barriers for moving forward.

A Georgetown MBA graduate, business leader, healer and innovator, Sara combines modern science, ancient traditions, and practical spirituality to create powerful and effective self-care tools that can be used by any individual with a sincere desire to self-heal. Sara is passionate about improving the lives of others and believes that individuals have the capability to tap into their personal power to create a joyous, abundant, healthy and purposeful life.

Sara earned a certification as Master Practitioner in Energy Medicine and Luminous Healing through the Four Winds Society, one of the leading training institutions for energy medicine in the world. Sara is also certified as an expert Level 5 instructor by the Krav Maga Alliance, one of the world’s leading Krav Maga organizations, and is certified in handgun personal protection tactics. Sara has over 20 years of athletic experience, and is an expert in personal safety, self defense and trauma management.

Sara has worked as a certified rape crisis counselor, completed programs such as Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) and IMPACT, and has been working with individuals, corporations, trauma centers, and nonprofit organizations over the past several years to bring deep healing, transformation and true empowerment to men and women all over the world.  Her approach integrates the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of an individual with a focus on practical tools for everyday life.

Sara graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Maryland with a major in psychology, and she earned an M.B.A. in international business from Georgetown University. Before founding Luminous Warrior, Sara spent 10 years as a senior business management consultant. When Sara’s sister died in a tragic car accident at the age of 33, Sara refocused her life and dedicated herself full-time to the creation of Luminous Warrior.
