Luminous Warrior Instructor

Cary’s journey to Luminous Warrior began as an enlisted soldier in the U.S. Army who was deployed to operations throughout various parts of the world. His experiences during those overseas assignments motivated him to develop deeper skills in close-contact fighting and self defense tactics. Cary sought systems that are visceral, explosive, and heavy in real-world practicality, and this led him to training in Krav Maga, Kali, and other cutting-edge self defense systems. He also wanted to enhance his personal empowerment and development beyond just the physical. Cary found his answer through the practical tools and methodologies of Luminous Warrior energy medicine. Since joining Luminous Warrior, Cary’s training has evolved to pursue a truly integrated approach to developing the mind, body, and spirit at all levels.

Cary is a certified Expert, Level 6 (Black Belt) Krav Maga instructor, and is earning Instructor (Guru) certification in SinaTirsaWali Kali (Filipino Martial Arts System) directly under Mas Guru Dennis Ocampo, Director of the SinaTirsaWali Kali System. Additionally, Cary trains in Muay Thai (Thai Boxing), mixed martial arts (MMA), and personal protection tactics using firearms, and impact and edged weapons. Cary continues to be a student of energy medicine and healing practices for personal empowerment and development, and he incorporates his knowledge into Luminous Warrior training and instruction. Cary participates in Luminous Warrior Shamanic training for instructors and is a Luminous Warrior Mesa (Medicine Bundle) Carrier.

Cary holds Bachelor’s Degrees in International Business, Economics, and International Relations, and has a Master’s degree from Columbia University in International Finance and Business. In addition to his military experience, Cary has worked for “Fortune 500” companies in the consumer goods, biotechnology, and financial services industries, and has completed project work for offices of the United Nations.  He currently works on international trade and foreign policy issues relevant to the Information and Communications Technology industry.

Cary travels to many parts of the world and has studied Arabic, German, and Spanish. He also uses his expertise, knowledge, and travel and life experiences to make frequent posts to the Luminous Warrior Blog on topics related to self defense, personal security, and mind-body health. Cary’s motto to life is “Through my actions, my vision manifests.”
