Cary’s journey to Luminous Warrior began as an enlisted soldier in the U.S. Army. He was deployed to operations throughout various parts of the world, and during those overseas assignments he realized the advantages of developing deeper skills in close contact fighting and self defense techniques. Cary sought systems that have visceral impact, explosive training and are heavy in real-world practicality.

Cary is a certified Expert, Level 5 (Brown Belt) instructor in Krav Maga through Krav Maga Alliance, one of the leading Krav Maga organizations in the world, and is earning Guru Instructor certification in SinaTirsaWali Kali (Filipino Martial Arts System) under Mas Guru Dennis Ocampo. Additionally, Cary trains in Muay Thai (Thai Boxing), Mixed Martial Arts, firearms personal protection tactics, and the use of blunt and edged weapons.

Looking toward a more holistic approach to developing the mind, body, and spirit, Cary is also deeply involved in Luminous Warrior Shamanic training and is a Luminous Warrior Mesa (Medicine Bundle) Carrier. He holds Bachelor’s Degrees in International Business, Economics, and International Relations, and has a Master’s degree from Columbia University in International Finance and Business. Cary’s motto to life is “Through my actions, my vision will manifest.”
